Directions:
Make sure the surface is clean and free of dirt. Shake well. Test in an inconspicuous area. Spray 6-8″ away from the surface. Spray evenly and thoroughly until the surface is saturated. Remove any excess by blotting with a clean paper towel. Allow the surface to air dry at room temperature for 30-60 min. Reapply and allow surface to air dry at room temperature for an additional 24 hrs. May take up to 72 hrs to achieve peak repellency. For best results, reapply every 9-12 months.

How soon after applying DetraPel® Outdoor Gear Protector, can I use my protected items?
We suggest applying two coats of DetraPel® Outdoor Gear Protector, 30 minutes apart and leaving the solution to dry overnight. It is recommended to leave any sprayed surface untouched for 24 hours, however if you’re unable to wait that long – please ensure that the protected surface is completely dry before using it as it requires time to cure. Please keep in mind that drying times may vary depending on temperature and humidity levels.

Will DetraPel® keep my belongings dry in rainy weather?
It will certainly improve the water resistance of your outdoor gear in rainy conditions. DetraPel® acts as a water repellent which will keep your gear dry longer than if you had not protected them. Though DetraPel® can keep your belongings drier longer, constant contact with a wet substance like rain means that eventually the water particles will seep through the breathable layer of protection.
How long does it last?
Depending on the use case, one application of DetraPel® can last up to one year if applied properly. Reapply DetraPel® after every time you wash the protected surface with water or a solvent-based cleaner. Protected surfaces that encounter high abrasion will require reapplication more frequently.
