Directions:
Make sure the surface is clean and free of dirt. Shake well. Test in an inconspicuous area. Spray 6-8″ away from the surface. Spray evenly and thoroughly but do not oversaturate. Remove any excess by blotting with a clean paper towel or colorfast cloth immediately. Allow the surface to air dry at room temperature for 30-60 min. Reapply and allow the surface to air dry at room temperature for an additional 24 hrs. It may take up to 72 hrs to achieve peak repellency. For best results, reapply every 4-6 months.

How soon after applying DetraPel® Auto Fabric & Carpet Protector, can I use or drive my vehicle?
We suggest applying two coats of DetraPel® Auto Fabric Protector, 30 minutes apart and leaving the solution to dry overnight. It is recommended to leave any sprayed surface untouched for 24 hours, however if you’re unable to wait that long – please ensure that the protected surface is dry before using it, as it requires time to cure.
What sort of surfaces can I use DetraPel® Auto Fabric Protector on?
DetraPel® Auto Fabric Protector is safe to use on almost any fabric surface in your vehicle. Your seats, carpet, floor mats, headliners, door panels, trunk mats, dashboards, booster seats and more can last longer with DetraPel®
Can it be used on smooth leather or vinyl surfaces?
DetraPel® Auto Fabric Protector is not recommended for use on smooth leather, faux leather or vinyl surfaces.
How long does it last?
Depending on the use case, one coating of DetraPel® can last up to 6 months if applied properly. Reapply DetraPel® after every time you clean your car interior with water or a solvent-based cleaner. Protected surfaces that encounter high abrasion (such as driver’s seat and floor mats) may require reapplication more frequently.
Is DetraPel® safe to use on infant car seats or near my kids?
Absolutely. DetraPel® products contain no harmful chemicals that could be deemed dangerous to you, your kids or your pets. Rest assured you can safely use DetraPel® on any infant product.
Will it change the appearance or feel of new seats?
No. DetraPel® does not change the look or feel of any protected surface.
Do I need to use any special fabric or upholstery cleaners to clean stains after treatment?
No. In most cases a spill on a surface that has been protected by DetraPel® will not penetrate the protective barrier. A liquid spill will bead up and roll off or sit on top of the treated surface. Use a dry cloth or paper towel to wipe/dab up any remaining liquid. If the spill occurs with force or is left to sit on the surface, then the liquid will begin to seep between the fibers of the surface. A quick response is ideal, but when it’s not possible you may need to pour a small amount of water on the area that has been penetrated. The water will lift the colored liquid off the surface’s fibers. Lightly wipe/dab the wet surface until it appears that the stain has been lifted. The surface should dry without any staining. If there still appears to be some staining, pour a little more water and dab again. In very rare circumstances you may need to use soap to remove the rest of the stain.
